Humus Tosco is a blend of Touriga Nacional and Castelao red grapes from Encosta da Quinta, Lisboa. Hand harvested in small boxes and carefully selected, the grapes were crushed and de-stemmed. Spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeast in small stainless steel tank, after 5 days of skin contact the wine was racked to another tank, where fermentation finished, aged for 10 months in stainless steel. Nothing was added to the wine. No filtration, no clarification, and no added sulphites. Production of 5000 bottles.
Tasting notes: Nose offers lovely red fruit and soft berries aromas. On the palate it is medium-bodied, tannins are soft and mellow and has lots of juicy red fruit. 12%
