Serradinha Rose is a blend of the local varities of Castelao 60% and Touriga Nacional 40% from Quinta da Serradinha, located north Lisboa, town of Leiria. Vines planted between 1952 and 1996. Hand harvested, grapes selected at the winery are destemmed and macerated a bit, then into an open press draining softly and then left in Terracota amphora from s XIX. Spontaneous fermentation at low temperature and left ageing in the amphora with its lees for 8 months. The terracota amphora maintains its unique vinification properties proving better results than contemporay vats made of modern materials. Bottled in May 2018, without filtration or clarification.
