Serradinha Baga is a red wine blend of local varieties 50% Baga and the rest Catelao, Touriga Nacional and Alfrocheiro grapes from Quinta da Serradinha, located north Lisboa, town of Leiria. Vines planted between 1956 – 1996. Hand harvest, grapes are de-stemmed into open vats. Fermetation starts spontaneous with indigenous yeast and no control of temperature, in old big barrels of 600L and 2400L and aged for 24 months. No filtration, no clarification and a bit of sulphites before bottling. Production of 6000 bottles.
